Turkey announces visa exemption for Chinese citizens holding ordinary passports

  On December 31st local time, Turkey's Official Gazette issued a presidential decree, announcing that starting from January 2nd, 2026, a visa-exemption entry policy will be implemented for citizens holding ordinary Chinese passports. According to the regulations, the total duration of visa-exempt stay shall not exceed 90 days within every 180-day period, which applies to tourism and transit purposes. This decision is made in accordance with Article 18 of Turkey's Law on Foreigners and International Protection.
